In our case, we rented bicycles and explored the city like locals. At first, it can be a bit intimidating, but you quickly get used to it, and it’s an experience we recommend. If you want to visit places outside Amsterdam, rent a car and travel at your own pace.

Buy Tickets

To visit the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance to avoid long waiting lines.

You can buy tickets online or in person at the ticket office. However, I do not recommend the latter option as the queues can be very long if you don’t go early.

If you purchase tickets online, you can choose the date and time of your visit and receive a QR code that allows you to enter the museum without the need to print the tickets.

How Much Are Tickets To The Van Gogh Museum In Amsterdam?

The ticket prices vary based on age and type of visit. Adults can choose between a multimedia guided tour of € 22 or a regular admission ticket of € 20. Students get a discounted price of € 10. Children under 18 years of age enter for FREE. The museum does not charge an additional fee for visiting the exhibitions.

If you have purchased a Go City Amsterdam or iAmsterdam card, check if it includes the museum visit and whether you need to make a reservation in advance.

Van Gogh Museum Opening Hours
