by Vero

What to See & Do in Turkey in 9 Days

When you still have time, you can see the wonders inside the Museum of Turkish and Islamic art or experience the Hammam (Turkish bath).

Day 3. Bosphorus Cruise

We got on the Bosphorus cruise tour. It was disorganized, but we had a good time visiting Pierre Lotti viewpoint, the Dolmabahçe Palace, and Sultanahmet Square to see the sunset.

Day 4. Suleiman, Beyoglu Mosque and Grand Bazaar

We shopped at the Grand Bazaar and Beyoglu area. We also went to Süleymaniye Cami and walked along Istikal Avenue. If you want to travel via cab ride, ask how much they charge you to your destination.

Day 5. Spice Bazaar and Asian Side

We bought some spices at the Egyptian Bazaar or Spice Bazaar and had a great walk along Kiz Kulesi. You will see bars and people fishing in this area.

Day 6. Departure to Cappadocia

We arrived at Mustafapaşa and checked in at the Vera Konak hotel. Then, we enjoyed a morning photo safari and had lunch in Ürgüp. To relax, we went for another round of Hammam.

Day 7. Ballooning over Cappadocia

We went on a hot air balloon ride that cost around 180€ and 250€ per person. The pick-up is around 5 am. Only 150 balloons go into the sky a day.

Day 8. Visit the Cave Cities

We visited places that created handmade carpets, and we could see the silk cocoons! Don't miss out on staying at Cappadocia Inn and experience staying inside cave rooms.
