Go early in the morning. The church is located just off of Pia\u0163\u0103 Unirii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A visit to the church won\u2019t take long, as it\u2019s tiny and a bit out of the way. There are&nbsp;<strong>gorgeous icons and ornate frescoes<\/strong>&nbsp;inside, though the interior lighting leaves something to be desired.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>caretaker was quite strict about not photographing the interior<\/strong>. The community still plays an active role in Brasov\u2019s daily life, maintaining the Jewish tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the courtyard, you can find a&nbsp;<strong>Holocaust Memorial<\/strong>&nbsp;that was dedicated in 2019.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a nominal fee (<strong>5 RON<\/strong>) to enter and explore the gorgeous structure. The tower suffered extensive damages in the late 17th century and underwent full renovations in the 18th century.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, a museum inside lends some insight into the tower\u2019s history.&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Be sure to climb the five floors to get the sweeping views of the Old Town<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Black Tower (<strong>Turnul Negru<\/strong>) is from the same century.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is called the \u2018Black Tower\u2019 due to the&nbsp;<strong>charred walls that are the result of a lightning fire<\/strong>.
